Isabel was struck down with her illness in the spring of 2005, being finally diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in December 2006. She only once questioned 'Why me?' the rest of the time she battled on bravely and with dignity. She remained the thoughtful, selfless person she always was throughout her illness - her concerns always for others, rather than herself. Gradually the illness took away the very things she loved about life: her mobility and her voice. It eventually claimed her life on 25th February 2009 and her passing has left a huge gap in all of our lives.
